People whose mini-grant proposals are funded will be required to participate in the Closing Conference on May 5, 2007 at Missouri State University. We encourage students involved in the mini-grant projects to come to the Closing Conference and to present the work they did as a part of the project. Some travel money will be available to attend the Closing Conference.

Directions for completing the Application: The mini-grant application consists of two parts that are presented on two separate pages. Page one asks for project information. To complete page one you need:
- the project manager's name and email address,
- the same for the project's contact person,
- the name and contact information for each collaborating organization,
- the project title,
- the grades it is designed for,
- a description of the project,
- the project goals and objectives,
- a description of your assessment procedure, and
- the number of participating students and teachers.
Page two asks for budget information. To complete the page you need:
- the total amount requested from the MRU project,
- total amount of matching funds and the organization providing those funds, and
- a break down of project expenditures into line items specifying for each line:
- a description of the expenditure,
- the amount covered by MRU funding, and
- the amount of matching funding for the item.
There is a timing issue with submission of grant applications. Get the information above ready before you login to submit your grant. Enter the information on the pages as requested. Press the button at the bottom of each page to submit that page. In no case let a page sit for more than 30 minutes before submitting. You can always edit a grant submission. Grant submissions will be confirmed on a separate page that reports a grant id number. You will need this number to edit your grant submission.
Once the grant application has been submitted you can edit your submission up until the submission deadline. Submitted grants will be listed by grant id under Edit Application in the menu on the left hand side of the Mini-grants page.
